What does Construction.MN do?
We support homeowners with home improvement projects of all sizes—inside and out. Our team offers expert, unbiased advice and helps match you with the right contractor. We stay involved to ensure your needs are clearly communicated and the work meets expectations. We also guide you through the insurance claim process when storm damage is involved.
What makes Construction.MN different from hiring a contractor directly?
When you hire a contractor on your own, you may face many obstacles including limited product options, time-consuming vetting, and uncertainty about quality. At Construction.MN, we remove that guesswork. We connect you with trusted contractors from our network, help you choose the best solution for your needs, and act as your advocate throughout the project. We speak “contractor language”, set expectations, and make sure your goals stay front and center.
What types of projects do you support?
We handle all types of residential construction projects throughout Minnesota—from small handyman repairs to full-scale interior and exterior remodels. We’re also experts in storm damage restoration and insurance claim assistance.
Can you help with commercial projects?
Yes—we can. Many contractors in our network also work on commercial projects. If you have a project in mind, call or text us at 952-266-7200, and we’ll help you explore the best options for your needs.
How do you choose which contractors to recommend?
We only recommend contractors who are licensed, insured, and thoroughly vetted. We look for quality workmanship, ethical practices, and a strong track record—so you don’t have to worry about who’s showing up at your door.
Do you charge for consultations?
We offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to help determine what kind of site visit—if any—you need. Most site visits do have a fee, but if you move forward with one of our recommended contractors, we refund that cost. We’re upfront about any fees from the start—no surprises.
What if I’m having trouble with my insurance company or contractor?
Yes—we can help you understand the process and provide practical guidance. While we don’t offer legal advice, we can review your insurance estimate, explain what it means, and help clear up any confusion. If you’re having issues with a contractor, we can offer suggestions for how to move forward and help get your project back on track.
In some cases, this may be a billable service—but we’ll always let you know in advance so there are no surprises.
What if I’ve had a bad experience with a contractor before?
That’s exactly why we exist. Many of our clients come to us after dealing with delays, poor workmanship, or unresponsive contractors. We provide structure, transparency, and support from start to finish.
I’m not ready to start anything yet. Can I still reach out?
Absolutely. Whether you’re planning to hire a contractor, do the work yourself, or just weighing your options, having the right information upfront makes all the difference. We’re here to answer your questions, help you plan, and support you when the time is right—no pressure.
